Water Based Adhesives

Water based adhesives, also known as liquid or white glues, have gained popularity because they possess non-toxic, recyclable, safe, and easy-to-handle properties. These adhesives are primarily used with porous substrates such as paper, wood, or foil. The bonding process occurs through the loss of water, either through evaporation or absorption by the substrate. To facilitate the bonding process, at least one of the substrates involved must be porous.

Water based adhesives have a wide range of applications in various manufacturing processes, such as case and carton sealing, wood bonding, and laminating, among others.

At Technical Adhesives, we maintain high standards by employing highly skilled lead water-based batch makers who work in an efficient and high morale environment. As a manufacturer, we offer a diverse range of products, including Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVA), Vinyl Acetate Emulsion (VAE), Dextrin, and Acrylic adhesives, among others. Choose Technical Adhesives for all your water-based adhesive needs

Dextrin: Processed from starch, dextrin adhesives are non-toxic and fully biodegradable water adhesives. They can be applied at cool or hot temperatures and offer strong heat resistance. Dextrins are commonly used in the packaging industry for their effectiveness at bonding paper to paper.

PVA: Polyvinyl acetate adhesives are colorless, odorless, and can be very flexible while maintaining a strong bond. Fully soluble in water, PVAs are primarily used for bonding porous materials like paper, cloth, or wood.

Acrylics: A synthetic resin-based adhesive composed of methacrylic or acrylic polymers.

VAE: While comparable to PVA adhesives, VAEs offer a significantly better bond to non-porous substrates, like aluminum or vinyl, water resistance, and flexibility. Commonly used for packaging, laminating, or textiles.
